Signet Banner Appoints First Creative Director

Signet Jewelers banner Banter by Piercing Pagoda has appointed Grammy-nominated rapper, songwriter and artist Tierra Whack as its first creative director.The hire is driven by the brand's focus on encouraging self-exploration and celebrating uniqueness, Banter said last week. Whack, whom the company described as "unapologetically herself," has designed a capsule collection of jewelry for Banter together with designer Malyia McNaughton."We are extremely excited to welcome Tierra to the Banter family and are energized to share her creative energy and fierce individuality with our customers," said Banter president Kecia Caffie. "Bringing Tierra on board will help amplify our ongoing mission of inclusivity. Like our customers, Tierra is a creative visionary who rejects labels and celebrates her own unique identity."The collection will include a necklace, two bracelets, seven earring designs, a ring that can be customized with any letter of the alphabet, and five different charms.
