Singapore's rebar import prices continue up on stable demand

Import prices for rebar in Singapore have narrowed upward over the past week on continued demand from end-users.

Fastmarkets' weekly price assessment for steel reinforcing bar (rebar) import, cfr Singapore - which mainly looks at cargoes sold into Singapore on a theoretical-weight basis - was $494-495 per tonne cfr on Monday July 15, narrowing upward by $4 per tonne cfr from a week earlier.There was a transaction concluded at $494 per tonne cfr Singapore on a theoretical weight basis for 20,000 tonnes of Turkish rebar.
