Import prices for rebar in Singapore increased slightly over the past week amid improved spot demand.
Metal Bulletin's assessment of import prices for rebar in Southeast Asia - which mainly looks at cargoes sold into Singapore on a theoretical weight basis - was $540-550 per tonne cfr for the week to Monday June 11, up from $540-545 per tonne from the preceding week.Major Chinese mills offered their products at $550 per tonne fob, which is equivalent to about $570 per tonne cfr Singapore.
