STOCKHOLM, Jan 2 (Reuters) - Sweden's unemployment rate as measured by the number of registered jobless inched up to 7.5 percent in December from 7.4 in November, a Reuters calculation based on data from the Swedish Public Employment Service (SPES) showed on Tuesday.

SPES will publish its December figure on Jan. 11. Reuters' calculation is based on weekly data released by the agency.

Open unemployment, which excludes government job schemes, rose to 4.1 percent in December from 3.9 percent in November, according to the calculation.

The reported figures from SPES could deviate marginally from the calculation, as the official numbers are based on the last day of December which SPES has not reported figures for in advance.

SPES bases its measure on the number of job seekers who register with the labour board.

The statistics office releases a separate measure of unemployment, which is based on a survey. Its jobless report for December is due on Jan. 25.
