U.S. equity index futures were lower this morning. S&P 500 futures were down 3 points at 8:30 AM EDT.
Following a successful stress test by U.S. banking authorities, Bank of American announced plans to increase its dividend by 8%. The stock added $0.03 to $48.18.
JP Morgan Chase also responded to a successful stress test. The company announced a $50 billion share buyback program and a dividend increase. The stock added $1.30 to $291.71
Ditto for Wells Fargo! The company announced an increase in its quarterly dividend from $0.40 to $0.45 per share. The stock gained $0.06 to $81.55.
