U.S. equity index futures were higher this morning. S&P 500 futures were up 9 points at 8:30 AM EDT.

Focus today is on a decision announced by the FOMC on U.S. interest rates at 2:00 PM EDT. Consensus (100%) calls for no change in the Fed Fund Rate at 4.50%. Comments offered by Federal Reserve Chairman Powell's will be watched closely for a sense of direction.

J P Morgan Chase added $0.35 to $235.32 after raising its dividend by 12%.

HealthEquity dropped $12.07 to $89.60 after reporting mixed fourth quarter results.

General Mills dropped $2.07 to $58.37 after reporting less than consensus fiscal third quarter revenues.

Autodesk advanced $2.77 to $262.72. The stock is a target of an activist investor, Starboard.
