U.S. equity index futures were higher this morning. S&P 500 futures were up 10 points at 8:30 AM EDT.

Micron advanced $0.74 to $167.15 after reporting higher than consensus fiscal fourth quarter results. The company also offered a positive outlook for its fiscal first quarter.

Alibaba gained $15.23 to $178.31 after announcing a $50 billion infrastructure expansion program

Walt Disney, owner of the ABC television network added $0.13 to $112.39 after Jimmy Kimmel's nightly television show returned last night.

What about energy prices this winter?

Weather forecast for this winter reads "This winter will be truly insane".
