U.S. equity index futures were higher this morning. S&P 500 futures were up 7 points at 8:35 AM EDT.
S&P 500 futures were unchanged following release of the June Durable Goods Report at 8:30 AM EDT. Consensus was a 10.3% drop versus an upwardly revised 16.5% gain in May (impacted primarily by Boeing aircraft orders). Actual was a 9.3% drop. Excluding transportation orders, consensus was unchanged versus an upwardly revised 0.6% gain in May. Actual was a 0.2% gain.
Intel advanced $1.37 to $24.00 after reporting higher than consensus second quarter results.
Charles Schwab gained $1.01 to $97.51 after announcing a $20 billion share buyback program
Deckers Outdoor added $8.63 to $113.61 after announcing higher than consensus fiscal first quarter results.
Boston Beer advanced $16.18 to $217.99 after reporting higher than consensus second quarter results.
