Tom Brady to Represent IWC Schaffhausen

RAPAPORT... IWC Schaffhausen has named New England Patriots quarterbackTom Brady as its brand ambassador, it said Tuesday. His appointment will helpthe watch brand broaden its appeal to consumers, the company said. "Tom Brady is a world-class athlete with a sense of styleand an appreciation for fine watchmaking," said IWC Schaffhausen CEO ChristophGrainger-Herr. "Working with him will enable us to tell the IWC story to agrowing audience, especially in the United States." The champion football player is also a watch connoisseur whoowns several of the brand's timepieces, including a Pilot's Watch Chronograph TopGun Miramar, and a Portugieser Perpetual Calendar. IWC and Brady have "manyexciting new projects planned" during the course of their partnership, thewatchmaker said. It did not give details of what those projects would entail.
