US silicon metal prices tick down after ITC decision

Silicon metal prices in the United States ticked down in April following the US International Trade Commission's (ITC's) vote against anti-dumping and countervailing duties on imports from key suppliers.

American Metal Market assessed the US spot price for grade-553 silicon at $1.42-1.44 per lb on Tuesday April 10, declining slightly from $1.43-1.45 per lb in the previous month.Prices have been on an uptrend since March 2017, when trade cases targeting more than 70% of the silicon...
