Vedanta reports drop in iron ore output amid low prices, mine closures

India's Vedanta Resources has reported a decline in iron ore production in the first three months of 2018 amid a low pricing environment and court-ordered mine closures.

The miner's Goa operations accounted for 1.5 million tonnes of saleable production in the January-March period, a 58% year-on-year drop.
