Vietnam's HRC import prices continue uptrend on sustained demand

Import prices for re-rolling-grade hot-rolled coil sold into Vietnam remained in an upward trend over the past week on sustained demand in the spot market.

Metal Bulletin's assessment of HRC import prices in Southeast Asia - which mainly looks at Chinese 2-3mm SAE1006 HRC and equivalent grades sold into Vietnam - was $607-620 per tonne cfr for the week ended Monday June 11, up $2-10 per tonne from $605-610 per tonne a week earlier.Buyers continued to bid for July-shipment material at $605 per tonne cfr Vietnam and were regularly in the market to secure cargoes amid expectations...
