WDC Heads Back to Israel after Covid

(IDEX Online) - The World Diamond Congress (WDC) is to take place in Israel next March, it has been announced.The Covid pandemic forced organizers to hold the 2020 event online and to cancel the physical congress, which had been due to take place in Hong Kong. The last physical congress, in 2018, was also held in Israel.The World Federation of Diamond Bourses (WFDB) and International Diamond Manufacturers Association (IDMA) said the event would now be held every three years, rather than every two, as previously.The WDC will take place on March 28-30, 2023. The Israel Diamond Exchange is also hosting Israel International Diamond Week from March 27-30 and the first Israel Diamond Conference on March 27.Israel Diamond Exchange President Boaz Moldawsky said: "After a three-year break caused by the pandemic, we are thrilled to once again invite the global diamond community to Israel."We are planning an exciting series of events that is set to be one of the industry's most important occasions this year."The way it was: Delegates at the virtual WDC in 2020.
