The Young Diamantaires group, an international networking group for young diamantaires, held a successful and well-attended get-together in Hong Kong during the recent HKTDC show. The Young Diamantaires group an initiative by Rami Baron, Chair of Promotion Committee of the World Federation of Diamond Bourses (WFDB)

"The Young Diamantaires met for an evening of drinks and networking. The vibe was excellent as so many group members had not yet met before and really enjoyed putting faces to names," Baron said.

The group, which now exceeds over 220 members from some 20 countries communicates on a restricted WhatsApp group. The Young Diamantaires group was created by Baron and is supported by the WFDB to open a channel for communication with the next generation.

Baron, who acts as an administrator and moderator, is adamant that group members do not sell directly or promote themselves within the chat group. They are however encouraged to offer support and trade with other members privately. "The group has been growing significantly during for the past two years," Baron noted.

The Young Diamantaires will hold their next networking meeting during a breakfast meeting at the September show in Hong Kong. At that event, expert speakers will offer insights into the latest technology and present marketing tools to help up and coming businesses.
