Alrosa Rakes In $10M at Dubai Auction

RAPAPORT... Alrosa sold $9.5 million worth of rough diamonds at alarge-stone auction in Dubai, the Russian miner said this week. The 141 diamonds - each over 10.8 carats - weighed a combined2,140 carats, and fetched an average price of $4,439 per carat, Alrosa reportedTuesday. Companies from India, Belgium, the United Arab Emirates,Israel, Hong Kong and Russia participated in the auction, with 28 firms makingpurchases.
