Alrosa said on Tuesday that 54 companies from Hong Kong, mainland China, Belgium, Israel and India took part in the auction.

"This year's last diamond auction in Hong Kong was held simultaneously with the Hong Kong Jewellery and Gem Fair. During the last auction, we sold not only rough diamonds of standard colour, but also rare fancy yellow stones, which are particularly popular in the market," Alrosa director Evgeny Agureev said.
