The entire collection - which bears the samename as the main stone - fetched approximately $10 million combined. Thecompany did not disclose the 51-carat diamond's selling price. The main diamond - which, Alrosa said, is the purestlarge stone that anyone has manufactured in Russia - went up for auction on thecompany's online platform last week. The buyer was the Mouawad Group, a jewelryand watch design company known for creating diamond lingerie sets worn byVictoria's Secret Angels at its runway shows. "What attracted us to the Dynasty is not only its exceptionalquality, but the transparency of its history, and the fact that it's thelargest and most valuable diamond ever sold by Alrosa," said Fred and Pascal Mouawad. "It is a rare gem with a remarkable record." The other four stones in the collection sold at an auctionin November, averaging 30% higher than their reserve price. However, Alrosawithdrew the Dynasty from that auction as it failed to fetch the price the miner was looking for.
