Aluminium primary foundry alloy (PFA) premiums in Europe rose to more than two-year highs on Friday March 12, while the premium in the United States was unchanged at a 19-month high.

Premiums in Europe were driven higher by a lack of supply, rising raw material costs and global logistics complications.
Fastmarkets' assessment of the
aluminium primary foundry alloy silicon 7 ingot premium, ddp Germany rose to $380-420 per tonne Friday from $320-360 per tonne February 12. That marks the premium's highest since January 2019, when it was assessed at $390-420 per tonne.
