Haver & Boecker of St. Catharines, Ont., has appointed Jean-Francois Marchand as its sales representative for the province of Quebec. He has 20 years of sales experience including 10 years in heavy machinery.

Michael McQuade is the new CEO of Algoma Steel in Sault Ste. Marie, Ont. Before becoming an Algoma director, he had 35 years' experience at Stelco.

Toronto's Bold Ventures is mourning the loss of its chairman Richard Nemis. He was involved in the resource sector as a lawyer and promoter for over 50 years.

Vancouver-based Goldcorp has announced that chairman Ian Telfer has elected not to join the combined company's board of directors when the merger of Goldcorp and Newmont Mining takes effect.
