Bart Turtelboom, chief executive of APQ Global (LON:APQ) tells Proactive the upcoming Presidential election in Brazil is shaping up to be one of the critical events for emerging markets in 2018.

''It really is too early to call how the field is shaping up, we'll only know that in July but the local Trump-like candidate is running again as well as a bunch of centre-right candidates so I think we'll see sufficient fireworks running into the election''.

Turtelboom says his fund is on target for a 6% dividend yield in 2017, while book value in dollar terms rose by 4.6% for a total dollar return of 9.9%.
