In a May 14, 2011 liturgy at the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen in Homeland, Archbishop Edwin F. O'Brien ordained 14 men to the permanent diaconate.The new deacons and their home parishes are: R. Donald Awalt (St. Joseph, Cockeysville), Donald P. Battista (St. Peter, Oakland), Harold C. Bradley (St. Peter, Westernport), Paul G. Cooke (St. Joseph, Sykesville), Michael J. Currens (St. John, Frederick), Michael A. Dvorak (St. John, Westminster), David J. Ebner (St. Ignatius, Ijamsville), Brent Laughton Heathcott (Our Lady of the Fields, Millersville), Jerry Jennings (St. Ignatius, Ijamsville), Scott Lancaster (Our Lady of Perpetual help, Ellicott City), Timothy Moore (St. Katharine Drexel, Frederick), Stephen Renn Roscher Sr. (Holy Family, Randallstown), George A.
