Argentina's Aluar reaches 60% aluminium capacity

Argentinian aluminium producer Aluar reached 60% of capacity utilization for primary aluminium in October after running at 50% for more than six months amid action in the country to combat the Covid-19 pandemic, the company said on Friday October 9.

"[We will] continue to gradually seek a production program that enables the partial resumption of the remaining capacity," Aluar stated in a filing with Argentina's securities commission, CNV.

"The pacing and size of the [output] ramp-up will depend on the [development of the country's situation] that allows safe and sustainable operation for that supplementary...
