Awal?(C) Resources (ARIC.V) has been notified by the authorities it has been granted a new gold permit in the Como?(C) district of Ivory Coast. This is the second permit of three application that form the Abengourou project, which now has a total surface area of 718 square kilometers.

Awal?(C) has already started to do some work on the Abengourou project as it had previously been awarded the Amelekia permit. That zone (375 square kilometers) was previously owned by Golden Star Resources (GSS, GSC.TO) which detected a large soil anomaly, an anomaly Awal?(C) has been doing some work on lately.

Now the Nianda permit has been awarded, Awal?(C)'s land package in Ivory Coast now totals approximately 2,500 square kilometers, and the company is moving ahead on all three fronts. A 2,000 meter drill program is underway at the Bondoukou project, and this exploration program has been designed to drill 10 200 meter holes at the Fako and Casino zones, which were defined during Awale's scout drill program. The 2,000 meter program is just the tip of the ice berg, as Awale has mobilized two auger rigs to complete a total of 16,000 meters of (cheap) drilling along the Awari shear to get a better understanding of the mineralized system there.
