(IDEX Online) - Police officers patrolling a beach came to the rescue after a man lost the engagement ring he was about to present to his girlfriend.It fell out of his pocket at Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, USA, as he prepared to get down on one knee and pop the question.The unnamed man flagged down a passing police officer, who called in colleagues, including a police dog, to help search the sand."A local community member overheard what was going on and jumped into action with metal detector in hand," said Myrtle Beach Police Department in a Facebook post."Shortly after joining the search, the ring was found by the metal detector!
