Brave Jewelry Store Staff Fight off Hammer-Raid Gang

(IDEX Online) - Raiders fled empty-handed after they were kicked and punched by staff at a jewelry store in California, USA.One of the four robbers smashed a display case with a hammer at the Princess Bride Diamonds, in the Bella Terra shopping mall, Huntington Beach (on Sunday 29 May).But staff, together with the owner's relatives, fought back. One female employee can be seen on CCTV repeatedly kicking one of the raiders after he was knocked to the ground.Two coworkers landed blows to another raider's face and body. And a female family member fought on, despite being hit on the head with a hammer."At some point while I was fighting them, one of them actually hit me in the head with a hammer, on the side of my left temple, but I didn't even register it until after they left because there was so much like adrenaline going on," she told the TV station KTLA.Grab from CCTV of the raid.
