Brazil's Atlantic Nickel to reach full capacity by Q2, ceo says

Brazil's Atlantic Nickel started producing around three months ahead of schedule, and expectations of achieving full capacity have also been brought forward to the second quarter this year, chief executive officer Paulo Castellari told Fastmarkets in an interview on Tuesday January 7.

The company, owned by the Brazilian branch of Appian Capital Advisory, originally forecast nameplate capacity to be reached between the second and third quarters of 2020.
Ramp-up is estimated to take place during the six months after first production, Castellari said.
"Given everything goes well during these six months, the annualized rate of full nominal capacity will be reached in the second quarter," he told Fastmarkets.
