Through Resolution 28, the agency has suspended the submission of defenses, evidences, oppositions and appeals in administrative proceedings with respect to infraction, occurrence and collection of revenues related to financial compensation for mineral exploration, inspection fee and fines; and any other term established in the Brazilian Mining Code.

The suspension will not apply to obligations and terms related to stability and safety of mining dams, to the provisions of Article 27 of the Mineral Waters Code, or to any other term or obligation of which the failure to comply may jeopardize the safety, health, lives and property of the workers, consumers and society in general.

The Integrated System of Mining Dams Safety Management (SIGBM) and further ANM systems will remain available.
