Brazilian flat steel sales down 2.8% in September, Inda says

Domestic sales volumes of flat steel from distributors in Brazil went down by 2.80% year-on-year in September, with the market losing momentum, national flat steel distributors' association Inda said on Tuesday October 23.

Flat steel sales totaled 257,900 tonnes during September, down from 265,400 tonnes in the corresponding month last year, according to Inda. Purchasing also fell by 7.20% year-on-year to 244,400 tonnes, from 263,300 tonnes.The association now expects sales and purchases in October to be roughly the same as reported for September.
