SAO PAULO, Feb 27 (Reuters) - Brazilian healthcare insurer Hapvida Participa???ues e Investimentos SA filed for an initial public offering on the Sao Paulo stock exchange on Monday, according to a securities filing.
The offering will have a primary portion, in which the company will issue new shares, and a secondary portion, in which the controlling shareholder will sell part of its stake. Hapvida is the second Brazilian health insurer to file for an IPO this week. On Monday, Notre Dame Interm?(C)dica Participa???ues SA also filed with CVM. (Reporting by Aluisio Alves)
SAO PAULO, Feb 27 (Reuters) - Fourth-quarter profit at Brazil's Banco BTG Pactual SA grew by 9.4 percent from a year earlier and totaled 744 million reais ($229 million) as income from trading increased.
In a Tuesday securities filing, Latin America's largest independent bank said recurring return on equity was 16 percent annualized, down 0.5 percentage point from the previous quarter.
Management led by Chief Executive Officer Roberto Sallouti will discuss results on a conference call on Wednesday.
