Brazilian iron ore exports up sharply in May, ministry says

Brazil exported 26.66 million tonnes of iron ore in May, a 24.25% year-on-year rise from 21.46 million tonnes, the country's ministry of economy said on Tuesday June 1.

May 2021 had 21 working days, one more than in the same month a year before, which contributed to the rise. Daily average exports also grew, by 18.33% to 1.27 million tonnes from 1.07 million tonnes in the same comparison.
