CanmetMINING, COREM sign co-operation agreement

CanmetMINING and COREM have signed a co-operation agreement to meet the needs of Canada's mining industry as it embraces innovation. The aim is to reduce the risks associated with adopting new technology that supports sustainability and competitiveness.

The two hope to leverage their joint expertise and capability on projects of importance to the mining sector.

CanmetMINING is part of Natural Resources Canada that works in partnership with stakeholders to develop and deploy green mining technologies. The department conducts research and development across all aspects of a mine's life. CanmetMINING has unique multidisciplinary expertise and facilities with research laboratories in Ontario, Quebec and British Columbia.
