CAPACITY WATCH: China's Desheng Stainless to add 3.22 mln tpy crude steel capacity by May 2021

Desheng Stainless Steel, a subsidiary of Chinese state-owned Baowu Steel, plans to start construction of a series of facilities for making crude stainless steel in eastern China's Fujian province, according to a notice released by the Fujian Industry & Information Bureau on September 12.

The units will be intended to replace some capacity in Shanghai and in central China's Hubei province.Facilities to build: one blast furnace of 2,500 cubic meters, with capacity for 2.13 million tonnes per year...
