Chilean copper output down 1% in May, Cochilco says

Chile produced 487,200 tonnes of copper in May, down by 1.04% from 492,300 tonnes in the corresponding month of 2020, national copper commission Cochilco said on Friday July 2.

Output at Codelco, the largest copper producer in the world, totaled 152,500 tonnes in May, a 5.76% year-on-year increase from 144,200 tonnes, Cochilco added.
