CHINA HRC: Domestic trading picks up on lower mill offers

China's hot-rolled coil prices were largely stable on Monday December 30, but trading picked up domestically after mills in the north of the country lowered their offers.

Domestic
Eastern China (Shanghai): 3,900-3,910 yuan ($558-510) per tonne, unchanged
Northern China (Tangshan): 3,630-3,640 yuan per tonne, widening downward 10 yuan per tonne
While trading in Shanghai was moderate amid stable prices, a northern China-based trader said trading activity there picked up in the afternoon after mills lowered offers.
