CHINA HRC: Exporters maintain high prices on domestic gains in the east

China's hot-rolled coil exporters refused to lower their offers on Wednesday December 3 following price gains in the east of the country, although sources said domestic downstream demand was weakening.

Domestic
Eastern China (Shanghai): 3,770-3,780 yuan ($533-534) per tonne, up 30 yuan per tonne
Northern China (Tangshan): 3,640 yuan per tonne, narrowing downward by 10 yuan per tonne
Prices gained in the spot market in the east, with a trader based in Shanghai saying supply remained short.
