CHINA HRC: Importers retreat after Indian mills tweak cargo specs

China's domestic hot-rolled coil prices weakened amid fluctuating futures on Tuesday June 9, while importers asked to pay lower after Indian mills tweaked the specifications of their cargoes offered to the country.

Eastern China (Shanghai): 3,630-3,650 yuan ($513-516) per tonne, down 20 yuan per tonne
A Shanghai-based trader said prices tracked the fluctuations in the futures market during the day.
Sellers had asked for 3,640-3,650 yuan per tonne in the morning, but lowered this to 3,630 yuan per tonne when HRC futures fell. But when the futures contract rebounded in the afternoon, sellers raised prices to 3,650 yuan per tonne again.
