CHINA HRC: Prices continue upward march, reaching new 2-year high

China's hot-rolled coil prices surged to a new two-year high on Friday November 20, despite thin trading, sources told Fastmarkets.

Domestic
Eastern China (Shanghai): 4,140-4,160 yuan ($629-632) per tonne, up 10 yuan per tonne
Northern China (Tangshan) - weekly assessment: 3,990-4,010 yuan per tonne, up 90 yuan per tonne
Several Shanghai-based traders said sellers there continued to offer at high prices despite some buyers being reluctant to restock after the price growth.
