CHINA HRC: Prices steady amid strengthening futures

Rising futures kept China's domestic hot-rolled coil prices supported on Friday June 12, while export transactions remained thin amid strong competition from other countries.

Domestic
Eastern China (Shanghai): 3,650-3,660 yuan ($516-518) per tonne, unchanged
Northern China (Tangshan) - weekly assessment: 3,600-3,610 yuan per tonne, narrowed by 10 yuan per tonne
Prices were stable in Shanghai, with buyers actively seeking cargoes amid steady increases in the futures market.
A Shanghai-based trader said he had run out of cargoes to sell during the day since supply had been tight in recent days.
