CHINA REBAR: Active selling keeps price flat even as billet, futures strengthen

China's domestic rebar prices were flat on Wednesday October 23 as active selling by stockists offset stronger billet and futures prices.

Eastern China (Shanghai): 3,580-3,610 yuan ($505-510) per tonne, unchangedNorthern China (Beijing): 3,550-3,590 yuan per tonne, unchangedTangshan's billet price picked up by 30 yuan per tonne after local blast furnace operators cut their production by 50% in a move to improve air quality.
