CHINA REBAR: Domestic prices retreat again amid sparse trading

China's domestic rebar prices lost their upward momentum on Friday January 26 and returned to Wednesday's levels due to sparse trading and weak futures.

Domestic Eastern China (Shanghai): 3,850-3,900 yuan ($608-616) per tonne, down 20 yuan per tonne Northern China (Beijing): 3,900-3,950 yuan per tonne, down 20 yuan per tonne Trading activity remained thin due to extremely low temperatures in north China and snow in east China, market sources said.
