CHINA REBAR: Futures rise after release of 2019 data

China's domestic rebar prices remained flat on Friday January 17 amid inactivity, though the futures market gained some strength following the release of economic data for 2019.

Eastern China (Shanghai): 3,640-3,670 yuan ($529-533) per tonne, unchanged
Northern China (Beijing): 3,540-3,560 yuan per tonne, unchanged
China's domestic gross product grew by 6.1% last year, the country's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) said during the day.
