CHINA REBAR: Prices under pressure of weakening demand

China's domestic rebar prices rose for a second day on Friday June 25 on rising futures, though market participants expect the market to weaken next week as a result of softening demand.

Domestic
Eastern China (Shanghai): 4,840-4,870 yuan ($747-752) per tonne, up by 20 yuan per tonne
Northern China (Beijing) weekly assessment: 4,750-4,800 yuan per tonne, down by 170-180 yuan per tonne
Rebar futures strengthened during the day amid China's strengthening stock market, an industry analyst said.
