China's coking coal imports up 3.6% in October

China imported 5.90 million tonnes of coking coal in October, an increase of 3.6% from 5.69 million tonnes a year earlier, Chinese customs data showed.

Last month's imports are down by 12.2% month on month, however.
Coking coal imports in October were valued at nearly 3.8 billion yuan ($578 million), down by 22.5% year on year and 10.4% lower month on month, according to the customs data.
