China's daily crude steel output picks up in mid-March

China's major mills raised their crude steel output rates in mid-March after restrictions on production put in place for the winter heating season in the northern region came to an end.

Member mills of the China Iron & Steel Association (Cisa) produced crude steel at an average rate of 1.7872 million tonnes per day during the second 10 days of March, up 55,200 tonnes - or 3.2% - from 1.732 million tpd during the first 10 days of the month, according to data released...
