China's stainless steel prices continue to rise on nickel gains

Domestic stainless steel prices in China continued to trend upward over the past week, tracking the strength exhibited by nickel prices in the futures market.

The Fastmarkets MB domestic price assessment for benchmark 304 stainless cold-rolled coil in the major market of Wuxi was 14,000-14,350 yuan ($2,027-2,078) per tonne including value-added tax for the week ended Wednesday June 19, up by 50-100 yuan per tonne from a week earlier.
