Chinese nickel sulfate price rebounds slightly, but spot liquidity remains thin

The Chinese nickel sulfate price recovered slightly in the week to Friday April 16, supported by high raw material costs while spot liquidity remained thin, market sources told Fastmarkets.

Fastmarkets assessed the price for nickel sulfate min 21%, max 22.5%, cobalt 10ppm max, exw China, at 31,000-32,000 yuan ($4,758-4,911) per tonne on April 16, widening upward by 500 yuan per tonne from 31,000-31,500 yuan per tonne on April 9.

The latest assessment is down by 4,000-6,000 yuan per tonne (13.7%) from 35,000-38,000 yuan per tonne on February 26, which is the highest level since Fastmarkets began tracking the...
