RAPAPORT... Chow Tai Fook will debut a new bridal-jewelry collection inpartnership with designer Vera Wang, it said Thursday. The Hong Kong-based retailer will launch the line - calledVera Wang Love - in mainland China on October 19. It will target the "modernChinese bride," the jeweler noted. The collection includes 18-karat-gold and platinum engagementrings and wedding bands, as well as fine fashion jewelry featuring preciousstones and metals. It will first become available in Shanghai, before expanding to Beijing,Chengdu, Hong Kong and other cities. Prices begin at $400. "The sophistication, quality technical capabilities and vastconsumer reach of Chow Tai Fook will enable me to create both wedding andfashion signature pieces at the highest quality from the attainable to the mostexclusive," Wang said. The line features diamonds from Chow Tai Fook's T Marktraceability program. As such, each stone has a unique inscription confirmingits identity and origins, Chow Tai Fook said. "The intrinsic value of 'traceable' marks carried by T Mark diamondsperfectly aligns with Vera's design philosophy, resulting in beautiful, modernpieces of jewelry," said Kent Wong, managing director of Chow Tai Fook.
