Christie's to Sell Royal Diamond Tiara

RAPAPORT... Christie's has procured the Belle ??poque diamond tiara thatbelonged to the crown princess of Yugoslavia to sell at its London summer auction on June13. The platinum headpiece, which dates back to 1905, is fromthe collection of the princes of Orl?(C)ans Braganza and features old pear-shapedand rose-cut diamonds, the auction house said. It carries an estimate of$186,900 to $280,350. Other notable lots include a Cartier ring featuring acushion-shaped, 7.10-carat, royal blue Kashmir sapphire surrounded by diamonds,with a pre-auction estimate of $600,750 to $867,750, and a 4.44-caratcushion-shaped Burmese ruby and diamond ring with an estimated price of$293,700 to $373,800. The Important Jewels event will also include a late 19th-centuryemerald and diamond tiara, as well as pieces from Belperron, Van Cleef &Arpels, and David Webb.
