CIS FLAT STEEL: Market up again on further sales, global shortage

The export market for flat steel products from the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) went up again during the week to Monday March 29 on further sales to Turkey and an overall shortage in the global market, sources said.

Fastmarkets' weekly price assessment for steel hot-rolled coil (HRC), export, fob Black Sea, CIS was $830-855 per tonne on Monday, up from $815-830 per tonne a week earlier.
One Russian supplier sold HRC to Turkey at $860 per tonne cfr or close to $835 per tonne fob.
