CIS PIG IRON: Market stalls on Easter holiday, expected pricing moves

The export market for CIS-origin pig iron was quiet in the week ended Thursday April 5 because of the Easter holidays in the United States and Europe.

"There is no activity in the US due to Easter and the expectations of scrap market price [movements] in April," a source close to pig iron suppliers told Metal Bulletin.In the US, the offer price for low-manganese pig iron was $425 per tonne cfr.
